Bottom Line
TradeStation is a discount broker that's designed for active traders and cost-sensitive investors. You can often spend less than with other platforms.
How you earn it: Open a new account and enter promo code TSTVAGFD. Transfer $5,000 worth of cash or securities into your account to earn the minimum cash bonus.
How you qualify: You qualify if you're a new TradeStation user. You must be opening a taxable brokerage account to get this promotion. IRAs aren't eligible. If you've already claimed another TradeStation promo, you probably aren't eligible for this one.

After enrolling in the promotion, you have 45 days to fund your account to earn the bonus. If you make multiple transfers within 45 days, it'll count as one transfer for this promotion. You must not withdraw or transfer your deposits for 270 days after the promotion ends. Otherwise, TradeStation may reduce or cancel your cash bonus.

Discounted Futures Bonus: Earn a 50% discount on futures trading by entering code FUTRAFZT at sign-up
How you earn it: Enter code FUTRAFZT when signing up for a new account.
How you qualify: You qualify if you are a new user. You must have never opened a futures account with TradeStation. This promo can't be combined with other sign-up bonuses. That includes the IRA Discounted Futures Bonus below.
Details: This bonus reduces TradeStation per-contract fees. Futures are reduced from $1.50 to $0.75 per side, and micro-futures from $0.50 to $0.25 per side. The $1.50 per side fee is like what big brokers charge. But it's steep compared to the best futures trading platforms. A $0.75 contract fee is more in line with what top competitors offer. Unlike TradeStation, many don't require you to enter a promo code. IRAs and individual and joint futures accounts are eligible for this promotion.

IRA Discounted Futures Bonus: Earn a $0.85 discount on IRA futures trading by entering code 0035AEZP at sign-up
How you earn it: Enter the code 0035AEZP when signing up for a new account.
How you qualify: New TradeStation users qualify. Since the TradeStation website is light on details, we contacted customer service, who claimed TradeStation promo codes are mutually exclusive. If you enter another promo code at sign-up, don't expect to qualify for this one.
Details: TradeStation typically charges $1.50 per side for each futures contract. So, this discount is big for TradeStation users. The $1.50 per side fee is like what big brokers charge. But it's steep compared to the best futures trading platforms. A $0.75 contract fee is more in line with what top competitors charge. Unlike TradeStation, many don't need you to enter a promo code. Traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, SEP IRAs, and SIMPLE IRAs are eligible for this promotion.
Offer expires: TBD
What else should you know about TradeStation bonuses?
Online stock brokers update bonuses frequently. Check in every once in a while to stay on top of TradeStation promotions.
Are TradeStation promotions worth it?
New TradeStation users may find these promotions compelling.
Consider the Transfer Bonus if you want to move at least $5,000 onto the TradeStation platform for the foreseeable future. It's easy money. But the bonus is less than 2% of whatever you deposit, so it probably won't make a massive difference. Unlike some competitors, TradeStation makes you wait 270 days after a promotion. Then, you get your deposit. This delay stops you from putting that money to work right away.
Consider the Discounted Futures Bonus if you trade futures. You can get it easily. The discount makes TradeStation's per-contract fees competitive with top futures platforms.
Consider the IRA Discounted Futures Bonus for trading futures exclusively through your IRA. The discount on futures is the steepest one TradeStation offers. However, it doesn't include a discount on micro futures. Micro-futures traders should use the Discounted Futures Bonus promo code instead .
