New cardmembers can earn a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. You'll need to make a purchase or balance transfer with your card to earn this reward. Many other cards require a minimum spend to earn new cardmember incentives, but this one doesn't, and it's an easy way to earn a gift card without doing much work.
Eligible cardmembers can earn a free 12-month Barnes & Noble membership. Cardholders will qualify after spending at least $7,500 per year on qualifying purchases, and the perk is available at every card anniversary if the previous year's spending meets the requirements.
This membership program normally costs $25 per year and offers savings and other incentives to Barnes & Noble shoppers.
There is no need to request awards with the Barnes & Noble Mastercard® Credit Card. Every time you earn 2,500 points, you will automatically receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card.
The Barnes & Noble Mastercard® Credit Card has a 0% intro APR offer for balance transfers. This is available for the first 15 billing cycles, and balance transfers must be made within 45 days of account opening. A 3% balance transfer fee applies to all balance transfers with a minimum fee of $5.

While the Barnes & Noble Mastercard® Credit Card does come with benefits, it also has some flaws.
While the $25 Barnes & Noble gift card is straightforward to earn, it's not a very valuable incentive to sign up for the card. Many other credit cards with bonus offers have more valuable incentives for new cardmembers.
As mentioned, you can earn a free 12-month B&N membership at every cardmember anniversary. But you'll need to spend at least $7,500 on qualifying purchases the previous year to get this perk. It would be nice to include this benefit without a minimum spend requirement. You can easily spend $25 to join the membership program yourself.
If you like the idea of a rewards card that gives you flexible ways to redeem your rewards, this isn't the credit card or you. The Barnes & Noble Mastercard® Credit Card doesn't offer flexible redemption options. You'll earn 5% cash back when making Barnes & Noble purchases and a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card every time you earn 2,500 points. There are no other ways to redeem your points for awards.
The Barnes & Noble Mastercard® Credit Card is intended for consumers with good to excellent credit. Applicants will have a better chance of being approved for this card with a FICO® Score of 670 or higher. It's worth noting that other factors are considered, such as income and current debt. It's possible to get approved with a lower credit score -- or be denied with a higher score.
If you like to shop at Barnes & Noble and don't need a card with many perks, this rewards card might be a good fit for you.
If the following statements apply, it may make sense to apply for the Barnes & Noble Mastercard® Credit Card:
If you want one of the best credit cards with more redemption options and more valuable rewards, this probably isn't the right card for you. Many other cash back cards and rewards cards offer bigger sign-up bonuses, better benefits, and more handsome rewards.
