The Citi Rewards+® Card earns:
Rewards are also rounded up to the nearest 10 points on every purchase. For example, a $0.75 purchase that earns 1 point would be rounded up to 10 points. A $22 gas station purchase that earns 44 points would be rounded up to 50 points. While this is a good benefit for purchases at any price point, it's especially valuable on smaller purchases that otherwise would only earn a few points.
This card earns 5 points per $1 on hotels and car rentals booked on the Citi Travel portal through Dec. 31, 2025.
This Citi credit card has a 0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers. You must make balance transfers within the first four months of account opening for the 0% intro APR to apply.
The intro rate makes this card more useful. In addition to its rewards, it's also one of the better 0% intro APR credit cards. You could use it to pay off purchases over up to 15 months interest free or to get a lower rate on any credit card debt you have.
You'll get 10% back on the first 100,000 points that you redeem per calendar year. If you max this out by redeeming 100,000 points, you'll get 10,000 points back. This is another unique feature we don't see on too many rewards credit cards.
This card earns Citi ThankYou points. There are multiple ways to redeem your points, including travel bookings with Citi and gift cards. What makes it even better is that if you have a travel rewards card with Citi, you can move your ThankYou points from your Citi Rewards+® Card to that travel card. By doing that, you can unlock additional redemption options, such as transferring points to Citi's travel partners. Citi travel cards include:
So, you could use the Citi Rewards+® Card to max out your rewards on small transactions through its round-up feature. You could then potentially get more out of those points by moving them to a Citi travel card and transferring them. It's a more advanced strategy, but it's well worth it for frequent travelers.

This rewards credit card from Citi has a few areas where it could get better.
The Citi Rewards+® Card normally only has two bonus categories where it earns 2 points per $1. That falls short of what other cards offer. There are plenty of top credit cards that have more bonus categories and higher bonus rates of 3%, 4%, or more. The only way you'll get more value from this card is if you know you'll earn lots of points from its round-up benefit.
It's not a good idea to use this card for international purchases. It charges a 3% foreign transaction fee. If you like to travel abroad, check out other credit card reviews for cards that don't have this type of fee.

A FICO® Score of 670 or higher is recommended when applying for the Citi Rewards+® Card. Most successful applicants have credit scores that land them in the good credit to excellent credit ranges. That being said, there are other factors that come into play, as well. Your credit score isn't the only thing that determines whether your application is approved or denied.

You use your credit card frequently for small transactions. If you're the type to buy a $3 coffee here, a $12 lunch there, and other inexpensive items throughout the day, the Citi Rewards+® Card could earn you quite a few extra points through its round-up feature. If not, you may prefer a more traditional rewards credit card with higher rewards rates.
At The Motley Fool Ascent, we rate credit cards on a five-star scale (1 = poor, 5 = best). Our rating criteria includes rewards rates, welcome bonuses, fees, and perks like travel credits and 0% intro APR offers to evaluate our ratings.
We combine these factors with an evaluation of brand reputation and customer satisfaction to ensure you're getting the best card recommendations. Learn more about how The Ascent rates credit cards.

The Citi Rewards+® Card rounds up your rewards to the nearest 10 points on every purchase. For example, if you make a purchase that earns 5 points, it gets rounded up to 10 points.
For applicants with good credit, the Citi Rewards+® Card typically isn't hard to get. A credit score of 670 or higher is recommended to qualify for this card, although that doesn't guarantee approval.
