Discover® offers both cash back and travel credit cards. All its cards have competitive rewards rates and outstanding welcome offers, so it doesn't take long to earn cash back or miles. Once you're ready to redeem Discover rewards, here's how to do it.
How to redeem rewards on Discover credit cards
Here's how to redeem Discover rewards:
Log in to your online Discover account.
Select "Ways to Redeem," located underneath your rewards balance.
Choose how you want to redeem your Discover rewards.
Discover is as flexible it gets when it comes to redeeming rewards. There's no redemption minimum, so you can redeem any amount at any time. If you prefer to redeem your rewards by phone, you can call 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683).
Redemption options depend on the Discover card you have. Most Discover credit cards earn cash back, but it also has a travel credit card that earns miles. Here are the options based on which type of rewards your Discover credit card earns.

With these cards, you have four redemption options available for cash back, each offering the same value:
Cash: Select whether you want a statement credit on your credit card bill or an electronic deposit to your bank account. Enter the amount of cash back you want to redeem, and then submit your redemption. You can also set up automatic cash back redemptions every month.
Pay with Rewards: You can link your Discover card to your Amazon and PayPal accounts. This allows you to pay with rewards during checkout at Amazon and when you use the PayPal checkout option at online merchants that offer it.
Gift cards: Choose the gift card you want and submit your redemption. You can filter gift cards by the type of business offering them and the minimum gift card amount. Certain gift cards have higher minimum purchase amounts. Discover often has added value on gift cards, where you can get a gift card worth more than what you pay for it.
Charity: Pick a charity from the list, enter the amount you want to donate, and submit your redemption.
Discover's only travel card is the Discover it® Miles. Interestingly enough, it works just as well as a cash back card. Although you can redeem Miles for travel, you can also redeem them for cash back at the same rate, an option most travel credit cards don't have. Here are the three redemption options you'll have with this card, all of which offer a value of $0.01 per Mile:
Travel Credit: Apply Miles as a statement credit to travel purchases made within the last 180 days.
Cash: Select the number of Miles you want to redeem for a direct deposit to your bank account.
Pay with Rewards: Just like with cash back Discover cards, Discover's travel card also lets you link your Amazon and PayPal accounts. You can then use your Miles during the checkout process with Amazon and online merchants offering checkout through PayPal.
You can go through the process to redeem rewards on Discover credit cards in minutes. Log in to your account, pick the redemption option you want, and you can tap into that rewards balance you've been building. Discover also has some of the best credit cards for earning rewards. If you use your Discover card often, those rewards can turn into big savings for you.
Don't you wish you could take a peek inside a credit card expert's wallet sometimes? Just to see the cards they carry? Well, you can't look in anybody's wallet, but you can check out our experts' favorite credit cards. Get started here:
To redeem your Discover Cashback Bonus®, go to the Discover website and log in to your account. Select "Ways to Redeem" to go to the rewards redemption page. Pick one of the redemption options, and you'll be able to cash in your Discover rewards.
You can redeem cash back with Discover at any time, and there's no minimum amount required.
Discover Miles are worth $0.01 per Mile, so every 100 Miles equals $1.
