Up to $50 IKEA bonus rewards offer
As a new cardholder, you can earn up to $50 in bonus rewards. Here's a breakdown of how you can earn these bonus rewards:
Earn $25 in bonus rewards if your online application is approved and you make a same-day qualifying IKEA purchase of $25 or more online or in store.
Earn $25 in bonus rewards after meeting the minimum spend with your IKEA® Visa® Credit Card. You'll need to spend at least $500 outside of IKEA, Traemand, and TaskRabbit within 90 days of account opening.
You can use your reward certificates to shop with IKEA in store or online. Even if you don't have an IKEA near you, you can use your certificates online. Keep in mind that IKEA shipping charges can be costly.
While this card offers some nice benefits, there are some issues worth noting.
Low-value welcome offer
While the IKEA® Visa® Credit Card provides an IKEA bonus rewards offer of up to $50 for new cardmembers, the sign-up offer is of low value. Other credit cards offer more valuable sign-up bonuses to new cardmembers.
Plus, you'll need to meet the spending requirements to earn the bonus rewards. You'll need to make a same-day $25 IKEA purchase once approved and spend at least $500 outside of IKEA, Traemand, and TaskRabbit within 90 days of account ownership.
Reward certificates are issued in $15 increments
As you earn rewards dollars, you'll be sent rewards certificates in $15 increments. That means if you've earned $25 in rewards, you'll be sent a $15 certificate and then will have to wait until you earn at least $5 more in rewards before you receive another $15 rewards certificate.
Reward certificates expire quickly
Once you earn rewards certificates, you'll want to use them quickly. Rewards certificates expire 90 days from the issue date. It's important to be aware of this so your rewards don't go to waste.
Suggested credit score
This credit card is intended for consumers with fair to good credit. Applicants will have a better chance of securing approval for the IKEA® Visa® Credit Card with a FICO® Score of 580 or higher. Other factors are also considered, such as income and current debt. It's possible to get approved with a lower credit score -- or be denied with a higher score.

FAQs
The main difference is that you can use the IKEA® Visa® Credit Card anywhere Visa cards are accepted, whereas the IKEA Projekt Card is a closed-loop store card that you can only use at IKEA.
The IKEA® Visa® Credit Card is issued by Comenity Capital Bank.
Yes, but the balance transfer APR is 26.99% with no temporary interest-free period, so it’s unlikely that using the IKEA® Visa® Credit Card for a balance transfer would save you money on interest. Many credit cards offer a temporary 0% APR of 12 to 21 months for balance transfers.
