3 Best Limited-Time Deals at Costco Right Now

One of the things that can make a Costco membership a great personal finance choice is that you can find great deals pretty much all the time. But while some Costco deals are year-round, other sales come and go. Here's a look at some of the short-lived deals you can find right now.

1. Microsoft Surface Pro 9 Bundle

Costco sale price: $1,399.99

Price valid until: Feb. 25, 2024

With an Intel Core i7 and 512GB hard drive, this tablet could very well replace your computer -- especially when paired with the keyboard cover and pen, both of which are included in this Costco bundle. The tablet alone is more than Costco's sale price from most other retailers, and the tablet plus accessories will run you nearly $1,800 from Microsoft.

Note that Costco's usually long-lived return policy specifically excludes touchscreen tablets. Instead, you'll have just 90 days to return your purchase to Costco if there are any issues. (Alternatively, use a credit card with good purchase protection. For example, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card gives you 120 days of protection on eligible purchases.)

2. Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation)

Costco sale price: $199.99

Price valid until: Feb. 12, 2024

If you have your eyes -- or ears? -- on the current-model Apple AirPods Pro, this deal is worth checking out. Right off the bat, the Costco price is already $49 less than you'll pay at Apple or Amazon. Then, Costco also includes AppleCare+ for headphones, which is an extra $29 value.

You'd be covered even without AppleCare, though. Headphones aren't part of the electronics exclusion, so you'll have the full weight of Costco's famously awesome return policy behind your AirPods purchase.

3. 3M 2500 Series Filtrete 1" Filter, 4-pack

Costco sale price: $34.99 in-store ($49.99 online)

Price valid until: Feb. 25, 2024

While this deal isn't as flashy as the other two picks on this list, it's no less worthy of a spot. For one thing, this is a great price. If you pick these filters up in store, you're talking just $8.75 each for MERV 14 filters (that's near the top of the filtration scale). Similar filters on Amazon will run you another $5 a pop, and the supermarket is likely even worse.

But that's not even the best part: This four-pack of filters will get most folks through a full year of filter changes. (The EPA suggests changing your furnace/AC filters at least every three months, though you should check monthly and change filters more often if they're dirty.)

Changing your filter regularly not only keeps your furnace/AC working more efficiently -- which means lower energy bills -- but it also improves your home's air quality. Whether you rent or own your home, change your filters!

Costco deals are so good, they're worth the fee

Many folks may look at the annual Costco membership fee and think that they need to do a ton of Costco shopping to make it worthwhile. That's when I like to point to deals like these -- yes, even the filters -- because it would take just six purchases where you save $10 each to break even on a basic Costco membership.
