Microsoft Is Playing the Long Game in Artificial Intelligence

OpenAI isn't just a start-up investment for Microsoft, it could be core to the company's future.

Microsoft (MSFT 0.28%) is reported to be investing $10 billion into OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. The company's cloud resources, business customers, and large amount of data resources make it a perfect partner to improve the artificial intelligence models and create a business model for it. Travis Hoium covers why Microsoft isn't doing this for headlines, it's playing the long game.
